Demolition
& Dismantling

CES are comprehensive demolition contractors and because of this we incorporate dismantling; a developed demolition technique.

Many benefits can be achieved through this form of building demolition, which extracts sections of the structure piece by piece after a specific cutting process has been carried out to free each separate part of the building.

This technique will effectively minimise the effect on surrounding structures through reduced dust, noise and vibrations. There are three cutting methods we use for this process:

  • Sawing – Involves using heavy duty electric saws, some of which have diamond edged teeth for increased strength.
  • Water-jetting – This method uses pressurised water with small pieces of abrasive material to rapidly wear the material down with precision. Resulting dust is at a minimum and this method can saw straight lines as well as contours.
  • Thermal Lance – This cutting technique uses extremely high temperatures to burn through a material and is the ideal solution for reinforced concrete. It eliminates dust and vibrations as a by-product of the demolition.

Once the section has been cut away using one of the above techniques, it will be safely removed by the accompanying crane so that it can be disposed of correctly – either by reusing the materials or recycling them. City Environmental Services (UK) Ltd are expert demolition contractors and have an in-depth knowledge about the dismantling process, so if you feel this form of demolition would be appropriate for your project, contact us today.

Concrete Crushing

CES understand the costs involved with new developments or redevelopments involving any size of building or structure.

We also know that concrete is a primary material used in construction, making it a very valuable resource for any project.

This is why we offer our customers on-site mobile crushing plants that will churn hard pieces of concrete into reusable materials for redevelopment or reuse elsewhere.

This form of recycling will drastically cut the costs of redevelopment materials and eliminate the cost involved with transportation of the old concrete to disposal plants. This has a positive effect on the environment due to:

  • The reuse of the concrete materials instead of depositing them into landfill;
  • The reduced amount of carbon emissions released into the atmosphere through the transportation of the material.

Our team manages the controlled demolition of the concrete, which is then sent to be crushed. It is then safely stockpiled onsite, ready for reuse in a redevelopment.

Emergency
Demolition
Response

When emergency demolition services are imperative to re-establishing the safety of a building or site area then CES provide a rapid emergency response service to vulnerable structures.

This will eradicate any dangers that may arise from a building fire, a structural collapse or sudden weakness, weather damage, accidental damage or human error.

We have developed our demolition techniques alongside health and safety regulations so that any emergency work we exert on a structure is carried out safely to comply with the strictest guidelines. Our team of demolition experts are experienced in emergency structural response; using the relevant tools and techniques, they ensure the structure is safely demolished to avoid unforeseen collapses or neighbouring structural damage.

For more information about the rapid emergency response service we provide or if you require immediate structural assistance, contact us today.

Site Clearance

CES perform site clearances and excavations to pave the way for any new build, restoration project or domestic development.

Our extensive work force and machinery allows us to carry out industrial clearance projects that are of a much larger scale than domestic clearances.

Site clearances and any excavation work will be performed in accordance with risk assessments and HSE guidelines, while the site itself will be secured at all times. These aspects will ensure maximum safety and security throughout the project. The clearance will incorporate the removal of aspects such as:

  • Small structures
  • Rubbish
  • Trees, bushes and undergrowth
  • Hard standings
  • Contaminated soil
  • Bricks, stones and other unwanted materials

Once the clearance is completed the site will be fully prepared for any development work. Our team will retain any items which could be reused for your project or that could be of marketable value to you. They will also dispose of any waste through the correct recycling and waste management methods, ensuring that all environmental policies are adhered to at all times.

For further details about our domestic, commercial or industrial clearance service, contact our team today.

Soft Strip Demolition

Soft strip demolition provides customers with a solution for extracting anything marketable or reusable from the inside of their building.

The internal removal of appliances, fittings, windows, doors, ceilings, floors and other furnishings or finishing materials will be carried out to leave you with the original skeleton of the structure.

Anything that is of value or which could be reused in any way will be separated from any waste destined for disposal or recycling. Our team only use appropriate tools and removal techniques to ensure no items are damaged and that the internal components of your building are left in the best condition possible.

Soft strip demolition also ensures that any hazards are carefully considered before any structural demolition takes place – especially those that are concealed, such as electrics or gas piping. Our team will work closely with project managers and consultants to maintain high levels of environmental care and ensure building objectives are accomplished.
